About this policy
This policy explains how BTTR Space handles personal information when you use its kitchen visualisation tools, accounts and project features.
Information we process
Depending on the features you use, we process account email and authentication information; room photographs and uploaded files; room dimensions, doors, windows and notes; inspiration selections; saved projects, generated images and generation status. Technical request data may include IP address, browser information and security logs.
Your selections are used to create a style profile and generation brief. This is a design preference feature, not a decision producing legal or similarly significant effects.
Photos can reveal people, addresses and private possessions. Upload only what is needed and remove unrelated personal details. Files may also contain embedded metadata; do not assume it has been removed.
Why we use information
- To provide requested account, project-saving and image-generation features: performance of the service contract or steps you request before a contract.
- To protect accounts, prevent misuse and diagnose failures: legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable service, subject to your rights.
- To respond to support requests: the service contract or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, depending on the request.
- To comply with applicable record-keeping and other legal duties: legal obligation.
No advertising or analytics tracker is configured in the current website implementation. Any future optional tracking or marketing must be assessed and disclosed before activation.
Where information goes
Supabase supports authentication, the project database and private image storage. When online image generation is enabled and requested, the selected room image and generation prompt are sent to BytePlus to run Seedream. They are needed to generate the result.
Netlify hosts the live website and its server-side functions. Google Fonts currently supplies web fonts and receives browser requests. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect legal rights.
Using online generation involves sending the selected image and prompt to an external AI provider. The configured generation endpoint is in the Asia-Pacific region, so processing is not limited to the European Economic Area.
How long information stays
Local room drafts and images remain in your browser until cleared, reset or removed by browser storage management. Signed-in sessions can persist until logout or session invalidation.
Saved cloud projects, outputs and account records are stored separately from local drafts. Clearing your browser does not delete cloud copies. Retention depends on the type of information, the feature used and the provider processing it. Account and project information, technical logs and provider copies can have different retention periods.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.
You may complain to your local data protection authority. Requests normally receive a response within one month; lawful extensions may apply. Information about contacting BTTR Space is available on the Contact page.
Updates and contact
We will update this notice when the service or its data practices change. Material changes will be communicated as required. See Contact for contact information and Cookie policy for browser storage details.
