This policy explains how BTTR Space handles personal information when you use its website, kitchen visualisation tools, accounts and project features. Contact details are on the Contact page.
Information we process
Depending on the features you use, we process:
- Account information: email address, sign-in and verification data.
- Room and project content: room photographs, floor plans and uploaded files, dimensions, doors, windows, notes, inspiration selections, saved projects, generated images and the changes you request, including a room photo or floor plan you send to prepare your room before creating an account.
- Design assistant messages: questions you ask and the answers returned, when you use the assistant.
- Account activity: images requested, their status, and the balance and use of your account allowances.
- Usage events: which screens and steps of the service are used, a random identifier stored in your browser, and the campaign details of the link that brought you (for example utm parameters). These events do not contain your email, photos or notes.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information and security logs processed by our hosting and infrastructure providers.
Your selections are used to create a style profile and design brief. This is a design preference feature, not a decision producing legal or similarly significant effects.
Photos can reveal people, addresses and private possessions. Upload only what is needed and remove unrelated personal details. Files may also contain embedded metadata; do not assume it has been removed.
Why we use information
- To provide the account, project-saving, image-generation and design-assistant features you request: performance of the service contract or steps you request before a contract.
- To protect accounts, prevent misuse and diagnose failures: legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable service.
- To understand how the service is used and improve it, using our own pseudonymous usage events: legitimate interests in measuring and improving the service. These events are not shared with advertising platforms.
- To measure and improve our advertising, where advertising tags are used: your consent where the law requires it.
- To respond to support requests, and to send service emails such as verification codes and notices that your images are ready: the service contract.
- To comply with record-keeping and other legal duties: legal obligation.
Who receives information
We use carefully selected service providers that process information on our behalf and under contract, only as needed for the purposes above:
- Hosting and content delivery providers, which run the website and its server functions.
- Database, authentication and file storage providers, which keep accounts, projects and images.
- AI processing providers, which receive the room image, instructions or messages needed to produce a requested image or assistant answer.
- Email delivery providers, which send account and service emails.
- Web font providers, which receive browser requests when pages load fonts.
- Advertising and measurement platforms, when you arrive from or interact with our advertising and their tags are active.
- Our payment provider, which processes payments when you buy images. We do not receive your full card details.
We do not sell personal information. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect legal rights.
Some providers process information outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers rely on an adequacy decision or on standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards.
How long information stays
Local room drafts and images remain in your browser until cleared, reset or removed by browser storage management. Clearing your browser does not delete cloud copies.
Account information, saved projects and generated images are kept while your account is active and deleted when you delete them or ask us to delete your account, subject to short backup cycles. Room photos and floor plans sent before you create an account are used only to read the room and suggest layouts, and are deleted after 30 days; the room you save to an account stays with your project. Usage events are kept for up to 13 months. Security logs and provider copies follow shorter technical retention periods where available.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests, including usage measurement. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
You may complain to your local data protection authority. Requests normally receive a response within one month; lawful extensions may apply. To make a request, use the details on the Contact page.
